As a reseller, we help in recycling clothing, yet we still have a huge impact on our environment.

Yes, our footprint maybe a little smaller than those of an industry or factory standard but we still make our mark whether we like it or not.

When you receive your package in a cute little poly mailer with all these extra paper slips it looks good, but it is not necessarily good.

Plastic waste is one of the number one things that sit in landfills the longest, and despite some poly mailers having paper outside, the bubble wrap on the inside is still made of plastics.

On average a poly mailer would take about one thousand years to decompose inside a landfill and amazon mails out about 1.6 million packages a day and roughly 608 million a year. You and I can both assume that with this pandemic the numbers have increased quite a bit. Now it comes down to how many of those are plastic mailers and how many get reused.

At Impress Dress we have made it a goal to give poly mailers or plastic packaging more than one life. I understand it may not always be pretty, but what is on the inside is what matters the most. Now for those lovely little business cards or paper slips... Please use recycled paper! It will save you both time and money.

Whether you are a reseller yourself or a potential buyer just know that the environment should always be in mind. We are already contributing to air pollution by taking trips to the post office and the travel our parcels by air or vehicle and when we step back and recognize how much of an impact we have, we can start making vital changes that will be in the benefit of our planet as well as the benefit of our future.
